Let's get away from it all Batavia, NY, Thursday, 06 October 2011 8:43pm

Molly and I went on one last ride, this time out to Niagara Falls. We stopped in for lunch at a cute little restaurant serving eastern European food, and then hit the tourist centers. We took a short cruise into the spray on a Maid of the Mist boat, did the Journey Behind The Falls, and walked around the edge of the Escarpment, finding the best vantage points for viewing double rainbows.

Molly took a bus back to Hamilton, and I got in line for the border crossing at Rainbow Bridge. It only took 45 minutes to get across.

I had hoped to make it as far as Syracuse tonight, but it started getting quite cold after the sun set, so I called it a day in Batavia. There were bats circling the parking lot as I pulled into the motel where I'm staying.

Hee, people who cross the Rainbow Bridge usually don't live to post about it ;) Also, yay, bats!

It's like jumping the gorge on your motorbike, but the mist from the falls means that there's always a rainbow there!
